Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how FedirDev ("we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use the The Football Stand website at thefootballstand.com (the "Site").

The short version: the Site works without an account, sets no advertising cookies, and runs analytics only if you agree to it.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide

The Site has no user accounts and no forms. The only personal information you can send us is what you choose to include when you email us.

1.2 Stored in your browser (localStorage)

  • Theme preference (light/dark/system) — functional, never leaves your device.
  • Cookie-consent choice — remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics; never leaves your device.

1.3 Analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics in the consent banner, we use PostHog to collect usage data: pages visited, referrer, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use it to understand which content matters and to improve the Site. If you decline, no analytics run at all.

1.4 Error monitoring

We use Sentry to capture errors the Site encounters (error message, the page and browser involved, and technical context). This runs in our legitimate interest of keeping the Site working; error reports are not used to profile visitors.

2. Cookies and advertising

The Site currently sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we introduce advertising (e.g. Google AdSense) in the future, we will update this policy first and request any consent required (Google Consent Mode) before ad cookies are set.

3. Third-party services

We rely on a small set of processors to operate the Site:

  • Google Cloud Run — hosts our backend; processes requests (including IP addresses) in transit.
  • Supabase — stores our football statistics database. It contains match and team data, not visitor data.
  • PostHog — analytics, only after consent.
  • Sentry — error monitoring.

Football data comes from a third-party sports data provider; no visitor data is shared with them. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

4. Legal bases

  • Consent — analytics (you can withdraw it any time by clearing the Site's data in your browser; the banner will ask again).
  • Legitimate interest — error monitoring, security and abuse prevention.

5. Retention

Browser storage stays on your device until you clear it. Analytics and error data are retained by PostHog and Sentry under their standard retention windows and deleted or aggregated thereafter. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to handle your request.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Contact us and we will help.

7. Children

The Site is a statistics website intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. International transfers

Our processors may store data in countries other than your own (primarily the EU and the US). Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site evolves (for example when accounts, notifications or advertising are introduced). The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision; significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
